Halloween is the best holiday for kids and adults alike, and it’s no surprise that people love to get in the mood for it. Be it costume parties, decorations, or trick or treating, there’s always something to be done! And if you’re a craftsman on the spookiest day of the year, this is your time to shine!

But let’s say you just don’t have the time to whip up something crazy this year, does it mean you’re going to miss out on all the fun? Heck no! Here are some cool Halloween Craft Ideas that you can do with a little help from your trusty hot glue gun!

Spooky Spider-Webs

You don’t need to train your own spiders to hang up some creepy spider webs. All you need is a glue gun and a big work surface to make your hot glue webs come to life! These can be any size you want, from small, cute ones to put on your door, to really big ones to hang in the hallway for your guests to maneuver around! And you can stick them to anything using your hot glue gun as well, so it’s really a one-ingredient recipe if you think about it.

Even Spookier Cobwebs

This one requires a lot more work and a lot more patience. Instead of drawing your web out onto a mat like usual, the idea is to let the glue drip down in very thin strands by just barely pulling the trigger of your glue gun. While this happens, pull the glue strands away from the gun gently and let them drop naturally down onto your craft mat. After a while, they should dry up and form a thin cobweb-like mass! It’s best to use a low-temperature glue gun for this and just to be safe, you might also want to wear some gloves. If you have a clamp, you can mount the gun somewhere and use the clamp to keep the trigger at the right pressure for glue output.

If you’re not that patient and maybe want to go a little crazier, you can place your glue gun on top of a leaf blower and let the glue drip while the blower is on at maximum. It should blast your glue everywhere in thin cobweb-like strands. It’s messy and a little crazy, but if you want to go all out, this is the way to go.

Harry Potter Wands

All you need for these are chopsticks, paint, your glue gun, and some glossy sealant. Use your glue gun to smother the thicker tip of your chopstick with glue to make a handle. It doesn’t have to be neat unless you want a smooth wand. Let it dry and use your glue gun to make some finer details if you need to. Then paint the wand any color you want and spray with some glossy sealant for a shiny finish. Dare I say, it’s magic!

Creepy Lettering on the Walls

If you don’t want to ruin your walls with any paint but still want a little bit of immersion, you can use your glue gun to make droopy, spooky lettering and make it look like the ectoplasmic message of the dearly departed. You can also color them green to make them look like slime, or red to make them look like blood.

If you’re having guests over and you’re serving drinks, you’re going to need some coasters, and what better way to do that than by giving them “ghoasters!” You’re going to have to use a lot of glue for this but you can reuse them for the next Halloween party. You can use paint or any sort of material for the eyes and mouths, and it can be any shape you want as long as it protects your table from wet glasses and bottles!
